Welcome to the JMNP Beano Memorial Memory Wall, a place of remembrance and tribute to three extraordinary high school cross country runners whose lives touched so many hearts in our community.

In the hearts of their loved ones, these young souls continue to shine brightly through the memories they left behind. This virtual space is dedicated to preserving their legacies, sharing stories, and celebrating the indomitable spirit that defined their lives.

Join us as we honor the lives and contributions of these remarkable individuals, reminding us all of the power of love, community, and the enduring bond forged through the sport they loved. Together, we keep their spirits alive and inspire others to embrace life with the same enthusiasm that Justin, Nicole, and Dan (“Beano”) did. Explore the stories, leave your own tributes, and be a part of the legacy of these beloved runners.

“Nicole (Petey) Peterson was a friend and teammate who I had the privilege of sharing many miles training and racing side by side. I first took Petey under my wing when she blew past me in the last 100m of an indoor track race. At that moment I knew that she was capable of much more than she knew. Petey started buddying up with me for workouts and she inspired myself, as well as others, to persevere and dig deep when things got tough. Throughout her running career, Petey was a strong supporter and cheerleader for her teammates and helped other runners achieve success and understand its meaning. The DeKrey’s helped to instill the love of running into Petey and many other runners that was carried on beyond the high school sport. For myself, still to this day, every time I toe-up to a start line for a race, I have my own silent NP tribute to Petey and look to her when I need the strength. Her memory will forever live on through the JM NP Beano Memorial and the miles we continue to run in her spirit.”
